About us
For 10 years, Teaching the Civil War has been providing professional development, lesson plans, resources, videos, tools, tips, and strategies for teaching the American Civil War.
Teaching the Civil War
Our passion is providing teachers and students with the knowledge, skills and resources to act like historians and become engaged in “doing history.”
The more you know about the past the better prepared you are for the future – Theodore Roosevelt
We are passionate about helping educators think differently about teaching and learning in today’s classrooms. We enjoy nothing better than working with teachers and students and showing them ideas that allow them to get excited about learning and doing things they never thought was possible.
The secret of our success?
