Arms and Equipment of the American Civil War
The Civil War is said to be the first “Modern War” and it spawned some of the most sophisticated advancements in weaponry and war strategies in history. From small arms to siege cannons, the weapons of the Civil War contributed to leading America towards becoming the strongest military power in the world.
Muskets
The Civil War brought many advances in weapons, and the muzzle-loaded percussion cap rifled musket was the most common rifle carried by both North and South. Read More
